Safety-Release

Equi-Ping is an equestrian safety equipment brand focused on reducing risks when tethering horses and ponies. Launched in 2011, its Safety Release device received an innovation award from BETA, the UK’s leading equestrian trade show. The product is trademarked and its technology is patented; the brand also cautions buyers about copies that may not meet its standards.

Equi-Ping is designed to attach to a metal ring, with a horse’s lead rope passed through the device and secured using a quick-release knot. Under ordinary conditions, it keeps the animal tethered. If a horse panics and pulls back, the device is designed to open when pressure reaches approximately 80 kilograms, helping minimise the risk of injury. The design has been robustly tested in a professional racing yard and is intended for use at home or when tethering to a trailer or horsebox.

The range includes single devices in different colours, discounted multipacks, sleeves, and a device supplied with extra sleeves.
