SAGA Space Architects is a Copenhagen- and Hanoi-based architecture studio working across space exploration and life on Earth. Its multidisciplinary team combines architecture, engineering, design, and software development to create environments and technologies for challenging conditions. In space, SAGA designs habitats, lighting, and systems with a focus on human well-being.
Its work includes FLEXHab, an astronaut training habitat for ESA; habitat design for Starlab’s commercial space station; and LUNARK, a simulated Moon habitat tested during a 100-day Arctic expedition. The studio’s Circadian Light system has been operating aboard the International Space Station since 2023. On Earth, SAGA applies methods such as generative design, topology optimization, 3D printing, and digital fabrication to architecture, including housing and experimental structures.
Projects include EcoNeo, a biogenic house, and the Skovsporet 3D-printed housing development. Through SAGA Labs, the studio develops hardware, firmware, and software to support its work. SAGA also offers inspirational talks on design, innovation, space exploration, and human adventure for conferences, workshops, and keynote events
