相模原市民桜まつりは、昭和49年(1974年)に市制施行20周年を記念して相模原のふるさとづくりをテーマに始められました。「72万人のふるさとづくり」「人・もの・自然、すべての共生を求めて」のコンセプトのもと、市役所さくら通りを主会場に市民の手づくりによる催し物や市民パレード、絵画コンテストなど盛りだくさんの内容で皆さんをお迎えします。

About 相模原市民まつり【2025桜まつり公式】
The Sagamihara Citizens' Cherry Blossom Festival, initiated in 1974 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the city's establishment, focuses on community-building in Sagamihara. Under the concept of "Creating a Hometown for 720,000 People" and "Seeking Coexistence of People, Goods, and Nature," the festival offers a plethora of activities crafted by citizens, including parades, art contests, and more, at the main venue of Sakura Street near the City Hall. The 51st edition of the festival will take place on April 6th (Sat) from 13:00 to 17:00 and on April 7th (Sun) from 10:00 to 17:00.
