Sagaru is a Lagos-based expert network connecting credentialed professionals from Africa and the African diaspora with opportunities to evaluate and improve artificial intelligence. Its focus is on helping AI teams produce more accurate, safe, and useful models through specialist feedback grounded in both professional expertise and local context. The network welcomes practitioners across fields including medicine, law, engineering, and science, as well as other domains where applicants can demonstrate verifiable experience.

Sagaru’s services include reviewing AI model outputs, evaluating performance, and providing domain-specific feedback for training and benchmarking. Applicants create a profile, undergo verification of their credentials and professional affiliations, and complete a short task designed to assess practical skills. Accepted experts are scored using a fixed rubric, assigned to a tier, and matched with relevant work as opportunities become available. The company emphasizes flexible participation, quality standards, and collaboration among specialists. Applications are open without a referral, while acceptance depends on vetting. Sagaru is currently building its network and inviting experts to join a waitlist for early access.
