The Swiss Midwives Federation (FSSF) is the professional association for midwives in Switzerland. It works to support a modern, attractive midwifery profession and promote a health-friendly environment where people can be born with dignity. The federation represents the profession in political, health and social affairs, and provides information about midwifery and perinatal care for parents, expectant mothers and health professionals.

The FSSF offers continuing education courses and resources for professional development, including information on recognition procedures, professional competencies and advanced midwifery practice. It also supports quality in midwifery through recommendations, statistical data, quality circles, crisis intervention and other professional resources. Members can access benefits, a specialist journal, an employment marketplace and professional networks. The federation also provides a midwife search service and an information platform for families, alongside news, events, podcasts and media resources. Through its advocacy, education and services, the FSSF aims to strengthen midwifery care and improve support for families across Switzerland.
