Østlands Strø, operated by Thoresen Anlegg og Transport AS, supplies bedding and related materials for farms, livestock owners and equestrian facilities. Based in Råde, the company serves customers mainly across Eastern Norway, including areas such as Sarpsborg, Fredrikstad, Moss and Oslo. Its range includes two types of sawdust, a sawdust and planer-shavings blend, clean planer shavings, heating shavings, and round-bale products.

The company’s shavings can be supplied loose or in round bales, which it describes as an economical alternative to square bales. Planer shavings are made from timber dried before planing, giving the material good absorbency. For riding arenas, Østlands Strø offers arena shavings, which can be mixed with sand, and sand suited to riding surfaces, with different types available on request.

The company also provides round-bale pressing, transports its own products and other goods by arrangement, and delivers bales using its own vehicle. Customers can rent containers for storing sawdust over longer periods. Orders and enquiries can be made directly by phone or email
