Sahaidachnyi Security Center

Sahaidachnyi Security Center is a Ukraine-based think tank focused on security and defense. Established in response to the challenges created by Russia’s war on Ukraine and gaps in understanding Ukraine’s role in European and international security, the Center provides strategic recommendations to decision-makers in Ukraine and abroad. Its team brings experience in public sector reform, international relations, and advocacy.

The Center’s work spans research and strategic analysis, international advocacy, and development of the defense sector ecosystem. It conducts studies and expert assessments, develops approaches to analyzing evolving threats, and publishes reports, policy briefs, and recommendations to support informed decisions and public discussion. The organization also advocates for international support for Ukraine and for transparent, effective, and accountable security institutions.

Its initiatives include training and capacity-building programs, public engagement and democratic oversight, and international cooperation to exchange expertise and apply recognized best practices. Named for the Ukrainian hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi, the Center draws on his legacy of military leadership, education, and strategic thinking.
