About Southern African HIV Clinicians Society
The Southern African HIV Clinicians Society is dedicated to promoting quality comprehensive and evidence-based HIV healthcare in Southern Africa. With a history spanning 21 years, the society has become a leading authority in HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention, and clinical practice. They offer a wide range of products and services, including online courses for doctors and nurses, covering advanced HIV management, pharmacy-initiated management of antiretroviral therapy (PIMART), nurse-initiated management of ART (NIMART), cryptococcal meningitis management, treatment optimization, advanced HIV disease, and tuberculosis management.
In addition, the society publishes two esteemed journals: The Southern African Journal of HIV Medicine, which focuses on HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, and HIV Nursing Matters, specifically designed for nurses working in the field. They also develop and publish clinical guidelines addressing various aspects of HIV management. The Southern African HIV Clinicians Society regularly organizes conferences and events, including the International Workshop on HIV Drug Resistance and their biennial SAHCS Conference, which gathers healthcare professionals and experts to discuss the future of antiretroviral therapy in Africa.
