SAIH is a Norwegian solidarity organisation that has spent more than 60 years working for equal access to education, knowledge and freedom. It views education as a powerful means of creating change and focuses on defending the rights of students and academic communities around the world. Its work spans Afghanistan, Bolivia, Colombia, Myanmar, Palestine, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and other international contexts, as well as Norway.

SAIH campaigns for inclusive education for LGBTQIA+ people, education shaped by Indigenous communities, solidarity with students and academics, and the removal of financial barriers to higher education. The organisation shares news and stories about its projects and advocacy, publishes specialist reports on issues such as threats to activism, and holds events and seminars to raise awareness.
