Saint Matthew's ANiC is a Christ-centered community that is shaped by worship, word, sacrament, and mission. Established in Abbotsford since 1900, Saint Matthew's is a parish that has ministered alongside diverse churches throughout the Fraser Valley, growing together with the wider community. In 2008, Saint Matthew's joined the Anglican Network in Canada and is now a part of the larger Anglican Church in North America.

The mission of Saint Matthew's is to glorify Jesus Christ by joyfully proclaiming ancient faith for today's world. Their core values include worshiping the Triune God, making prayer the heartbeat of their community, living in fidelity to the faith contained in the Holy Scriptures, joining God in His mission of redemption, pursuing emotional, spiritual, and physical healing, fostering a welcoming and supportive community, helping every baptized person become more like Christ, and embracing the Anglican tradition. Saint Matthew's ANiC believes in the revelation of God in Christ and bases their faith on Scripture's testimony of Jesus Christ as the Lord of creation and the Savior of the Church.

They also value tradition and adhere to the creeds of the Church, such as the Apostle's Creed. Saint Matthew's is affiliated with the Anglican Network in Canada (ANiC), which is a diocese within the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA).
