Saitenreiter

Saitenreiter Gitarrenbau is a Berlin-based guitar workshop specializing in handcrafted instruments and practical services for guitarists and bassists. Operating as a custom shop, it builds instruments tailored to each player’s needs, while also keeping selected instruments available to try in the workshop. Its work extends beyond new guitars: the team offers repairs and care for electric and acoustic guitars and basses, including setups, cracks, breaks, and electronic faults. Advice is an important part of the repair process, helping owners understand what is needed to restore an instrument’s playability and sound.

The workshop also runs guitar-building courses, a program it says has been offered for 19 years. Participants create a personal instrument over a weekend, with information and registration available for upcoming dates. For electric guitars and basses, Saitenreiter handcrafts pickups, repairs older units, and can adapt pickups to suit an individual instrument. Based in Berlin, the workshop serves musicians seeking custom builds, hands-on learning, pickup work, or instrument repairs.
