Salandra Lovers is a citizens’ association based in Marano di Napoli, dedicated to protecting and celebrating the Bosco della Salandra, a woodland of natural, historical, and cultural significance. Founded by residents responding to the area’s neglect, the group has helped clear waste, reopen paths, and bring the forest back into community life. Its work combines environmental stewardship with education, local heritage, and shared cultural experiences.
The association organizes monthly walking outings through the Camaldoli area, outdoor learning activities for schools, and experiences focused on wellbeing and connection with nature.
