Sala SS

Sala Simsällskap is a community swimming club in Sala, Sweden, offering activities for swimmers of different ages and experience levels. Based at Lärkans family swimming facility, the club focuses primarily on swimming while also providing wellness activities, including water aerobics and recreational swimming. Its swimming program includes lessons for beginners, technique groups that help participants develop their skills, and competitive groups suited to different ages and ambitions.

The club also runs an adult crawl group and hosts events such as the Sala Sparbank Silverdopp, Morgondagare and Swim of Hope. Through instruction, training and competition, Sala Simsällskap aims to promote swimming skills, health and a sense of community. Businesses and individuals can also support its work through sponsorship. Swim of Hope combines fundraising with swimming: sponsors pledge an amount per metre or a fixed sum, with half of the money raised going to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund
