Coach Sally Jeanne Watkins is a figure skating coach based in her hometown of Seattle, where she is part of the coaching staff at Kraken Skating Academy. With more than 15 years of experience, she coaches freestyle and skating skills, helping athletes prepare for competition and develop programs suited to the International Judging System. Her students have progressed through Senior Free Skate and qualified for events including the State Games of America, Excel National Final, and Eastern Sectional Singles Final. Coach Sally is a U.S. Figure Skating-compliant coach and a regional technical specialist.
Her coaching approach encourages athletes to focus on what they can control and define success as preparation meeting opportunity. She aims to foster self-motivation and a personal vision of success, skills that can carry into life beyond skating. Her own background includes a career as a competitive and professional skater: she is a U.S. Figure Skating Triple Gold Medalist, the 2008 Intercollegiate National Senior Ladies Champion, and a former performer with Bietak Productions and Ice Theatre of New York. She is currently fully booked and invites prospective clients to join her waitlist.
