The Salón del Cómic de Zaragoza is a major comic-focused cultural event in Aragón, Spain, organized by Zaragoza City Council through its Civic Centres Service, with support from cultural organizations and groups connected to comics. Founded in 2002 as a small exhibition, it has grown into one of Spain’s few events managed entirely by a public institution. Its annual salon brings together exhibitors, authors and visitors, with the 2026 edition scheduled for 11–13 December at Zaragoza’s Auditorio Multi-Purpose Hall.

Beyond the main event, the Salón develops year-round and citywide activities that celebrate comics and the wider “ninth art.” Its “December, Month of Comics” initiative brings exhibitions, talks, screenings and other activities to libraries, museums and civic centres across Zaragoza. The program also features invited creators, news, awards and opportunities for exhibitors. Through accessible, participatory cultural programming, the organization supports comics and creative communities while strengthening Zaragoza’s profile as a national destination for the medium. Its history includes collaborations with prominent artists, including illustrators Luis Royo and Rómulo Royo.
