Salpa Stages

Salpa Stages Gravel & Run is an outdoor sporting event held in the Miehikkälä and Virolahti area of southeastern Finland, amid the forests and historic defensive sites of the Salpalinja. The 2026 event is scheduled for 18–19 September and brings together runners, gravel cyclists and families for challenges and adventures in the region’s natural landscape.

Running options include children’s races, 21-kilometre and 31-kilometre routes, and a 100-kilometre night-time endurance event inspired by long-range patrols. Routes use forest roads and trails, with courses suited to both experienced runners and newcomers. For cyclists, Gravel Ralli offers five or ten timed special stages on local gravel roads, while Gravel Seikkailu lets participants choose their distance and ride at their own pace, alone or with others. The most demanding cycling challenge, Kaukopartio, covers 300 kilometres on gravel and forest roads, with two rest stops and GPS tracking.

The event also provides practical participant information, including schedules, route guidance, equipment requirements, rules, results and accommodation and arrival details.
