Salsa With Silvia is a dance studio serving Washington, D.C., and Bethesda, Maryland, with classes and experiences designed to make learning enjoyable, social, and welcoming. Founded by Silvia Alexiev, the studio grew from a humble basement into a regional dance community known for friendly instruction and a focus on the physical and mental benefits of dance. Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome, including beginners, who can try a first group class free at designated times.
The studio offers group classes in Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, Ballroom, and other dance styles, with classes organized by levels and consultations available to help experienced dancers find the right placement. Private lessons are offered in person and virtually, including personalized instruction for individuals, couples, and groups. Additional programs include wedding dance choreography, children’s classes and camps, and dance fitness.
Salsa With Silvia also hosts workshops, social dance parties, date nights, and speed dating events. For organizations and celebrations, it provides corporate dance classes, performances, and team-building workshops.
