Fundada em 1981, a Salsicharia Limiana desenvolve desde sempre a sua atividade em torno da comercialização de carne fresca e congelada de suínos e da sua transformação em produtos de charcutaria de inspiração tradicional. Enquadrada, a partir de 1994, pelo trabalho desenvolvido pela equipa comandada pelo seu administrador Fernando Cunha, a empresa fruto de um sustentado crescimento nacional e internacional, desenvolveu significativos investimentos na ampliação da sua capacidade produtiva, criando um segundo polo industrial. Hoje, a empresa conta com as instalações industrias de Ponte de Lima, e a nova unidade de Famalicão dispondo de instalações industriais num total de 17000 m2, implantadas numa área total de 60000 m2.
