Saltbox Press creates letterpress-printed paper goods and watercolor designs, bringing traditional craft to cards, invitations, stationery, and calendars. Its letterpress process uses an inked plate with raised type or images, pressed into paper to leave a tactile, debossed impression. Each piece is hand-fed and printed one at a time, with colors applied individually on vintage Chandler & Price Pilot and Vandercook #4 proofing presses. The result is a distinctive printed surface with a soft, substantial feel.
Alongside its letterpress work, Saltbox Press is gradually incorporating original watercolor artwork into its card selection and calendar. The brand’s offerings include cards and invitations, with portfolio examples and shop access available on its website. Saltbox Press also shares appearances and press information, and invites visitors to subscribe to its newsletter for news and updates. Combining carefully handled printing with watercolor, Saltbox Press offers thoughtfully made paper goods for correspondence, celebrations, and everyday use.
