Salt Lake Occupational Therapy (SLOT) provides pediatric occupational therapy for children ages 0–8 in Salt Lake City and across three Utah counties. Founded by occupational therapist Lauren, the practice offers individualized, play-based, neuro-affirming care focused on helping children participate and thrive at home, school, and in the community. Its services address sensory processing, motor planning and development, emotional regulation, and related challenges.
Therapy draws on USC Ayres Sensory Integration and DIR Floortime approaches; Lauren is described as Utah’s only occupational therapist certified in both. Families can also access parent coaching, home and school sessions, and support with the IEP process, school meetings, and advocacy for meaningful access to learning. Care begins with a free 20-minute consultation, followed by an evaluation that can include a virtual parent interview and clinic session or an in-person appointment.
Recommended support may involve predictable weekly, twice-weekly, or every-other-week sessions. SLOT’s flexible model aims to meet families where challenges arise and build practical strategies around each child’s needs and family priorities
