Salzgitter Young Icefighters is a youth ice-sports club serving children and teenagers in Salzgitter. The club introduces young people to the enjoyment of skating and supports their development through participation in sport. Beginners can start in the skating school, while more experienced players can join age-group teams and progress through the junior ice hockey programme, from U7 to U17. The club also offers ice figure skating, giving children opportunities to explore different disciplines on the ice.
Children aged four to ten who are interested in ice hockey or figure skating can arrange a free trial session through the skating school. The Icefighters describe their youth work as a way to encourage personal development and make a positive contribution to society. Beyond training and competition, the club provides information about its teams, schedules, events, membership, and practical matters such as bus reservations and playing licences. Its online team shop sells items including hoodies, T-shirts, jackets, and accessories, helping players and supporters show their connection to the club off the ice.
