Samaritains des Sedunes is the Samaritan section serving the municipality of Sion and surrounding areas. Formed on 4 December 2021 through the merger of the Deux-Collines and Sion sections, it brings together around 100 active members. The organisation supports local associations, municipal services and the public through first-aid education, event medical provision and community activities.

Its training programme includes introductory and refresher first-aid courses, certified courses, and tailored instruction for businesses, sports clubs and associations. The section also offers guidance to help organisations choose training suited to their needs. For events, its team assesses risks and plans medical and sanitary arrangements, including staffing, facilities and logistics. Larger events may receive a dedicated health and safety plan developed with the event’s safety lead.

Qualified instructors hold monthly member exercises to maintain and develop practical skills. The section also participates in blood donation activities and welcomes people interested in joining its volunteer community. Through its courses, event services and ongoing member training, Samaritains des Sedunes promotes preparedness and practical action in emergencies.
