About Samara Contemporary
Samara Contemporary is an innovative art gallery located in Toronto, Ontario, dedicated to showcasing the work of both national and international contemporary artists. The gallery's core mission is to embrace and support creators working at the intersection of art and design. Currently featuring the captivating exhibition "Soft Motion," curated by Rafi Ghanaghounian and running from May 30 to July 6, 2024, the gallery highlights the playful and emotionally resonant textile practice of featured artist Lindy Fyfe.
Utilizing her unique technique of manipulating found fabrics—through pulling, shaping, and stitching—Fyfe crafts pieces that evoke sensory delight, blending texture, pattern, and vivid color to create dynamic visual experiences. Samara Contemporary is committed to fostering connections between artists and viewers, encouraging exploration of creativity in its many forms. Open Thursday through Saturday, from noon to 6 PM, the gallery welcomes art enthusiasts, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and appreciation of contemporary artistry.
