Sambo Yachting is a sailing school based at Darsena Montecarlo in Sottomarina di Chioggia, near Venice. The school provides practical sailing instruction for a range of experience levels and interests, with courses covering basic sailing, advanced skills, racing, cruising, mooring and anchoring, sailing with a reduced crew, night navigation, and crew development. Its instruction team includes Silvio Sambo, described as an instructor and sailing tactician; Paolo Sambo, an experienced and passionate sailing instructor; and Dario Malgarise, a federal sailing instructor and international-level competitor who navigated for Prada Luna Rossa from 2000 to 2003.
Darsena Montecarlo serves as the school’s meeting point and embarkation base, and its boats have been used for teaching for more than forty years. The marina offers facilities including water, electricity, boat launching and retrieval, restrooms, and parking. With around 80 berths and a sheltered position close to the harbor entrance, the base gives students convenient access to open water for their courses
