The Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) is a global, Syrian-led humanitarian nonprofit dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to communities affected by conflict and crisis. Established in 1998 and expanded as a nonprofit in 2007, SAMS works across Syria and beyond to save lives and alleviate suffering. Since 2011, it reports delivering more than 33 million free medical services and supporting over 50 healthcare facilities, with 96% of every dollar directed to programs.

SAMS provides emergency and humanitarian response, trauma care, medical missions, and essential health services, while also helping strengthen healthcare systems. Its programs include oncology, cardiology, dentistry, neurology, critical care, maternal and child health, mental health support, and medical education through the SAMS Institute. The organization also supports hospital restoration, medical equipment provision, health research, and training for healthcare professionals in crisis-affected regions.
