Samsam Uitvaartcoaching

SamSam Uitvaartcoaching is a volunteer organization that supports people with low incomes when a loved one dies. Arranging a funeral can involve difficult decisions and added financial pressure, so SamSam helps families understand their options and organize an appropriate farewell without turning it into a burden of debt. Its volunteer funeral coaches provide accurate, honest information to help people make informed choices. Support also extends to practical matters that need attention after the funeral, recognizing that bereavement can bring further responsibilities.

SamSam works with individuals and families who need guidance, and encourages care professionals, other practitioners, and relatives to refer people who may benefit. The organization also invites volunteers to become funeral coaches, helping offer calm and practical support during a stressful period. Its website provides information about its aims and approach, coach services, guidance and tips, publications, and ways to support the organization. Through this work, SamSam seeks to make funeral arrangements more manageable for people facing financial hardship, while ensuring they can make choices that fit their circumstances.
