About SAMURAI MUSEUM
Samurai Museum is a unique cultural institution that aims to showcase the rich history and spirit of the samurai to both Japanese and international travelers. The museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacy of the samurai, who emerged during the late Heian period and played a central role in Japanese history for approximately 700 years (from the Kamakura to Edo period). Within the museum, visitors can explore the two floors of exhibits, each offering a different perspective on the samurai era.
The first floor features an information desk, displays of armor and helmets, and a souvenir corner. On the second floor, visitors will find displays of Japanese swords, armor and helmets from different time periods, as well as a photo studio where they can capture the essence of being a samurai. Please note that due to the building's structure, there are certain areas that are not accessible to wheelchair users.
To ensure a smooth visit, wheelchair users are advised to make a reservation in advance. The admission fees for the museum are ¥1,900 for adults, ¥800 for children under 12, and free for children aged 3 and below. Immerse yourself in the world of the samurai at the fascinating Samurai Museum
