SAMURU

SAMURU is a martial arts dojo in Tucuruvi, São Paulo’s North Zone, serving students from nearby areas including Santana, Jaçanã, Vila Maria, Vila Guilherme, Guarulhos and Tremembé. Established in 2012, the school describes itself as a welcoming community focused on improving both physical and emotional well-being through training. Its programs include Aikido for adults and children aged 6 to 12, and karate for adults and children from age four. The dojo also offers personal defense instruction, including corporate classes, and one-off lessons.

Aikido at SAMURU combines martial techniques with principles of discipline, harmony and personal development. The school is affiliated with FEPAI, the São Paulo Aikido federation, and Aikikai, the Japanese organization. Its instructors include Sensei Saulo, a fourth-degree black belt with experience teaching personal defense, alongside Senseis Thais and William. Classes are scheduled in the morning, afternoon and evening, with options on weekdays and Saturdays; students can choose a convenient training time and may attend more than one. Prospective students can arrange a trial class.
