Sanapuu

Sanapuu Oy is a Helsinki-based company providing speech therapy services for children. It has an agreement with Kela to deliver individual speech therapy as demanding medical rehabilitation in the Helsinki area. Therapist Tanja Rasmussen brings more than 20 years of experience supporting children with difficulties in interaction, speech, language and communication. Services address concerns including delayed speech and language development, developmental language disorder, comprehension and speech-production difficulties, hearing-related rehabilitation, literacy challenges, attention and self-regulation development, multilingual language development, and selective mutism.

Therapy can take place in a child’s home, daycare centre or school, and remote rehabilitation is available when appropriate. Finnish is the therapy language; Tanja is also fluent in English. Sanapuu’s Kela-funded therapy requires a payment commitment, which may be obtained through Kela, a hospital district or the child’s municipality, based on a doctor’s statement. Families concerned about a child’s development are advised to consult a child health clinic, school health service or treating hospital; private assessment is also possible. Kela can arrange interpretation when needed.
