The Finnish Association for Word Art Education (Suomen sanataideopetuksen seura) is a national organisation dedicated to promoting awareness and recognition of word art and developing its basic education and recreational activities across Finland. It also provides training and shares current information about the field. The association is a member of the Finnish Association of Basic Education in the Arts (TPO ry) and a collaborating member of the Finnish Association of Children’s Culture.

Its work includes resources and information on word art, arts education, sustainable development in teaching, and opportunities to find specialists and learn about practitioners. The association organises events and supports projects that encourage creative engagement with language and reading. Its Hehkuvat sanat national literacy project, coordinated for 2024–2025, brings children and young people into seven participatory reading initiatives using word-art methods, with participants actively involved in planning and activities. The association also runs Sanataideviikko and the Lasten runovallankumous project, recognises contributions through the Word Art Achievement award, and offers a newsletter and opportunities to join or support its work.
