Sanctuary Group

Sanctuary is one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit housing and care providers, with more than 105,000 affordable homes across England and Scotland. Established over 50 years ago, the organisation aims to provide housing and care for people who need them, while building sustainable communities where people choose to live.

Its housing services include homes to rent and buy, shared ownership, student accommodation, retirement communities, and support for homeowners and tenants. Sanctuary also develops new homes and offers practical guidance on managing a tenancy, paying rent, arranging repairs, maintaining a property, and accessing financial or community support.

Through Sanctuary Supported Living, it provides supported housing and helps people build the confidence and life skills to live independently. Sanctuary Care manages around 110 care homes, with a focus on enriching residents’ lives. Sanctuary Students provides accommodation for thousands of students across England and Scotland. Its retirement communities include 29 purpose-built or adapted services for people aged over 55.
