San Diego Smile Pros

San Diego Smile Pros is a veteran-owned small business providing pediatric dentistry and orthodontics for patients of all ages in San Diego, California. The practice brings two board-certified specialists together in one office: orthodontist Dr. Matthew Durschlag and pediatric dentist Dr. Kristy Hayes. Their coordinated approach aims to make care attentive, personalized, and convenient for families.

Orthodontic services include Invisalign clear aligners, metal and clear braces, early and adult treatment, retention, and surgical orthodontics. The practice also offers pediatric dental care for infants, children, and teens, including cleanings, exams, protective sealants, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, and extractions. For children who feel anxious, the team provides supportive care and, when needed, sedation options such as nitrous oxide, minimal sedation, and general anesthesia. Silver diamine fluoride is available as a drill-free treatment for stopping tooth decay.

Digital tools—including iTero technology, 3D printing, digital X-rays, and 3D CBCT—support modern treatment. San Diego Smile Pros also provides consultations, financial and insurance information, and appointment booking for families seeking coordinated dental and orthodontic care.
