About SANEM
SANEM is a non-profit research organization based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 2007, SANEM is registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms in Bangladesh. It functions as a network of economists and policymakers, with a focus on economic modeling.
The primary objective of SANEM is to promote objective and high-quality research in various fields, including international trade, macroeconomy, poverty, labor market, environment, political economy, and economic modeling. Through its research, SANEM contributes to the policy-making process of governments at both individual and organizational levels. SANEM actively collaborates with global, regional, and local think-tanks, research organizations, universities, and individual researchers to strengthen its research capacity.
In addition to research, SANEM also organizes regular training programs on economic modeling and contemporary economic issues. With its dedication to rigorous research and knowledge-driven policy-making, SANEM plays a valuable role in shaping economic development and sustainable growth in Bangladesh and beyond
