Sanid Organization for Relief and Development (SORD) is an independent, non-governmental, nonprofit organization working in Yemen to deliver humanitarian assistance and support sustainable development. Founded as a youth initiative in 2013 by a group of legal and academic professionals from Yemen, Britain, and the United States, it began operating as a licensed organization in 2014. SORD is headquartered in Sana’a, with an office in Aden, and emphasizes compassion, transparency, mutual trust, and respect for human dignity.

Its programs address public health and protection, water and environmental sanitation, education, food security, shelter and non-food items, and women’s empowerment. The organization provides emergency assistance to vulnerable families and displaced people, including food basket distributions and shelter support. Its health and nutrition work includes efforts to prevent child malnutrition and support pregnant and lactating women through healthcare, nutrition, and community awareness. SORD also works to reduce school dropout, strengthen humanitarian response, and promote sustainable development.
