Sankofa Communications is a cultural education and media venture led by Luana M. Graves Sellars, a Gullah Geechee community activist, preservationist, writer, and speaker. Inspired by the Akan concept of Sankofa—returning to the past to help improve the future—the brand shares and preserves the history, traditions, people, and contemporary concerns of the Gullah Geechee community.
