With a team of 44 researchers and 8 research partners, Sano has already undertaken 17 projects, showcasing their commitment to innovation in the field. The Centre's history traces back to 2016 when the idea of establishing an independent institute for computational medicine was first proposed.

Since then, Sano has made significant strides, officially joining the Teaming for Excellence Phase 2 project and becoming the coordinator for the entire consortium.
