San Silvestre Sa

San Silvestre Salmantina is an esteemed annual running event organized by the Club Deportivo Padre Basabe, celebrating its milestone edition in 2025. Held in Salamanca, this popular race brings together thousands of athletes—including professionals, amateurs, and children—to participate in an inspiring showcase of endurance and community spirit on December 29 each year. Over the past forty years, the event has not only fostered athleticism but has also contributed significantly to charitable causes, with over €100,000 raised through its "Chip Solidario" initiative.

Participants are encouraged to engage through various contests, including photography, poster design, and micro-fiction, enriching the cultural tapestry of this tradition. The race emphasizes core values like effort, dedication, and passion, embodied in the annual event T-shirt designed by Isidro Gil. Supported by local sponsors including the city council and long-time partners like Setel, the San Silvestre Salmantina continues to inspire generations, making it a key fixture on the sporting calendar in Spain.
