Ringling College, in partnership with the Sarasota Art Museum, is dedicated to enhancing Sarasota's cultural landscape with its contemporary art offerings. The museum, known as a kunsthalle, showcases thought-provoking exhibitions and hosts dynamic educational programs led by global thought leaders. As the region's first museum dedicated to contemporary art, it provides visitors with an opportunity to explore and appreciate 20th and 21st century art and artists.

Located within the historic Sarasota High School, the museum features exhibition gallery spaces, an auditorium, an outdoor sculpture garden, a bistro, retail store, and extensive grounds for performances and installations. With 15,000 square feet of dedicated exhibition gallery space, the museum invites visitors to engage with site-specific and site-responsive art experiences. Ringling College, a private, not-for-profit institution, has been cultivating the creative spirit in students from around the world since 1931.

It offers a range of Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts programs across various disciplines. The College's comprehensive and rigorous curriculum, combined with its emphasis on the studio model of teaching, prepares students to become highly employable and globally aware artists and designers
