The UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation (SARF) is dedicated to the promotion and development of sailing and rowing sports, with a strong focus on nurturing Emirati talent for future Olympic competitions. Established in 2009 under the auspices of the General Authority for Youth and Sports, SARF aims to create a robust foundation for both sports, establishing national clubs and organizing local and international competitions.
The federation is recognized as the only UAE member of the International Sailing Federation and the International Rowing Federation, ensuring adherence to global standards. They actively support the discovery and enhancement of athletically gifted individuals, aiming to elevate their skills to international levels. With the leadership of Sheikh Ahmad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, SARF not only champions performance but also emphasizes environmental conservation through marine sports.
In addition to organizing significant regattas and training programs, the federation is committed to building a dedicated community of sailing and rowing enthusiasts, ultimately representing the UAE on the world stage. With a vision focused on excellence, SARF continues to inspire a new generation of athletes.
