SAS Brasil

SAS Brasil (Saúde, Alegria e Sustentabilidade Brasil) is a Brazilian nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to healthcare in underserved communities, including remote areas and urban peripheries. For more than a decade, it has delivered mobile and community-based initiatives in places where access to medical specialists is limited, supporting care from prevention and diagnosis through treatment and helping reduce long waits for services in Brazil’s public health system.

The organization combines in-person actions with remote care through its own telehealth technology. Its programs focus on diabetes, maternal and child health, women’s health, mental health, dermatology, and eye health. SAS Brasil also runs the Living Lab, a center for innovation and training in digital health and social impact, and creates care pathways tailored to the needs of the populations it serves.

Volunteers are central to its work, and people can sign up to participate in activities. The organization also welcomes donations, shares stories and updates through its blog, and works with sponsors, partners, and supporters to advance its health initiatives.
