Sassafras Hawaii is a family-owned and operated business that offers a unique collection of handmade jewelry. Founded in 2010 in Waimea on the beautiful big island of Hawaii, the company's roots can be traced back to the early seventies in San Francisco. Charles Cummings and Peggy Petersen, the founders' parents, started out as entrepreneurs and Charles would craft exquisite 14k gold and sterling silver jewelry while Peggy showcased his designs to businesses on Union Street.
Today, Sassafras Hawaii is known for its quality products at reasonable prices, alongside a commitment to honesty and integrity. Each piece of jewelry in their collection tells a story or legend of Hawaii or Polynesia. Handcrafted with love and aloha, they use solid sterling silver, natural gemstones, and colorful south seas shells.
