Sattelando

Sattelando, founded by Petra Greskamp, is a specialist saddle-fitting and equine care service based in Selm, Germany. Its online portal offers good-quality used saddles with professional fitting, alongside appointments for saddle checks, adjustments, equine physiotherapy and saddle seminars. Riders can browse dressage, jumping, all-purpose, pony, Icelandic, Western, trail-riding and treeless saddles, or commission a new saddle. Sattelando also accepts used saddles for consignment sale.

Petra provides services at the client’s stable and can fit a new, existing or second-hand saddle to an individual horse. The fitting process includes three-dimensional measurement and digital modelling of the horse, followed by adjustments to suit its back. Her equine physiotherapy work includes assessment, palpation, mobilisation and techniques to address muscular tension, as well as massage, stretching and dry needling.

Petra has more than 30 years of experience in riding and saddle fitting. Her credentials include training as an equine physiotherapist at DIPO, the German Institute for Equine Osteopathy, and roles as a Euroriding saddle consultant and DIPO saddle expert.
