Sattlermeisterin Karolin Werkmeister

Sattlerei Werkmeister is an independent saddlery in Schwedt, Germany, led by master saddler Karolin Maria Werkmeister. The business focuses on quality craftsmanship and individual, horse-centred advice for riders seeking comfortable, suitable equipment. For more than a decade, it has provided consultation, sales and fitting for dressage, show jumping and eventing saddles. Customers can have an existing saddle assessed or receive guidance in choosing a new one, with an evaluation of the horse and trial riding on selected models informing the recommendation.

The saddles offered are adjustable and designed to allow later changes, including alterations to the panels, tree width, girthing, knee rolls and flap length. Riders can also choose leather types, colours and decorative details. Werkmeister’s approach includes ongoing learning in equine anatomy and biomechanics, transparent communication and fair handling of horses. On-site appointments are available within approximately 200 kilometres of the Schwedt workshop, with group travel routes arranged to help share travel costs. Appointments are by arrangement, with customers asked to make contact by text message.
