The Sausalito Art Festival is an annual outdoor, top-quality juried art event that brings artists and community together in Sausalito, CA, every Labor Day Weekend. Internationally acclaimed as one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious art festivals, the Sausalito Art Festival features the best in visual art, music and food with more than one million visitors since 1952. More than 270 artists in 14 disciplines exhibit and sell 25,000 works of art drawing 35,000 collectors and visitors annually. The Sausalito Art Festival sets the standard for quality, variety, innovation and sheer scope of artists and for a celebrated rock, pop, and jazz music line-up, gourmet food and beverages and special exhibitions.

About Sausalito Art Festival

The Sausalito Art Festival Foundation is a vibrant non-profit cultural organization dedicated to supporting the arts, artists, and the community at large. Established as a 501(c)(3) entity, the foundation’s core mission is to promote and enhance artistic expression within the Bay Area. Governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees comprising local leaders, the foundation orchestrates the annual Sausalito Art Festival each Labor Day weekend, generating proceeds that significantly benefit community-focused arts initiatives.

The foundation is particularly proud of its Leonard Kaprielian Grants program, which allocates funds to various local art projects and non-profits, ensuring a lasting impact on the arts scene. Additionally, it offers scholarships totaling $20,000 each year to talented college-age artists in the community, fostering the next generation of creative minds. The Artists Teaching Art program further extends the foundation's reach, providing innovative arts education to K-12 students throughout Marin County.
