Save Maui Cats

Save Maui Cats is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to helping homeless, hungry, neglected, and forgotten cats and kittens across Maui. The organization works to improve the lives of cats while reducing the island’s cat overpopulation through humane, community-centered care.

Its core program is TNRM: Trap, Neuter, Return, and Manage. Volunteers humanely trap community cats, arrange spaying or neutering and vaccinations, and return them to their outdoor homes. Caretakers then provide regular food, water, and shelter, helping healthy colonies stabilize and preventing unwanted litters. Friendly, socialized cats and kittens are offered for adoption.

Save Maui Cats also supplies food and water to cats in need, educates local residents, and encourages community participation in cat care. Its volunteers help coordinate trapping, transport, veterinary procedures, and ongoing colony management. The organization welcomes volunteers and donations, including cat food and flea medicine, to support its rescue work. Through these services, Save Maui Cats aims to create a better future for Maui’s cats and the communities they share.
