About Save the Koala
The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) is dedicated to the conservation and protection of koalas, the beloved marsupials native to Australia. With a mission focused on combating the threats these creatures face, including habitat loss and food scarcity, the foundation offers a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at promoting awareness and support for koala preservation.
Through the AKF's online shop, individuals can contribute directly by adopting a koala, donating to the cause, or planting trees, which are essential for the koala's diet. The foundation also encourages people to join the "Koala Army," a community committed to advocating for the Koala Protection Act and engaging in fundraising activities.
In addition, AKF provides valuable resources and information, such as the Koala Habitat Atlas and interactive tools like KoalaMap for tracking sightings. Their efforts are designed to nurture a sustainable environment for koalas and educate the public about their ecology and the importance of safeguarding their habitats. Together, we can work to ensure a future where koalas thrive in their natural habitats.
