About Savvy City Dog
Savvy City Dog provides professional dog training for families in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and nearby Washington, DC neighborhoods. Led by Michelle, a certified behavior consultant with more than 20 years of experience, the business helps owners build calm, confident dogs through practical, science-based, reward-driven training tailored to real urban life. Its programs serve puppies from eight weeks old, adolescent and adult dogs, and rescue dogs, including those with reactivity or anxiety.
Services include puppy day training, private in-home coaching, virtual training, online courses, and training for dogs six months and older. Puppy programs focus on socialization, manners, obedience, housetraining, and routines such as settling and sleeping through the night. Private sessions and virtual coaching address individual goals and concerns, including barking, separation anxiety, leash reactivity, and the challenges of welcoming a new puppy. Savvy City Dog emphasizes personalized plans rather than cookie-cutter programs, with clear guidance owners can continue to use.
