Heiko Frehse

Heiko Frehse is a freelance celebrant and saxophonist based in the Lüneburg area, offering performances and ceremonies in Hamburg, Lübeck, Bremen, Hannover and beyond. His work brings together thoughtful, personal words and expressive live music for occasions including funerals, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and baptisms. As a saxophonist, he performs Smooth Jazz, ballads, soul, pop and other cover songs, alongside original compositions. Music can be presented solo, unplugged, as a walking act or with DJ accompaniment, with the repertoire suited to each event.

Frehse also provides individual saxophone coaching and beginner workshops in the Lüneburg area. Lessons focus on developing a personal sound, listening skills, musical expression and playing by ear, with minimal emphasis on written notation or traditional theory. Sessions are tailored to each learner, from complete beginners to more experienced players, and professional alto and tenor saxophones may be available to try or rent. The website also features audio and video, event dates, references and a shop offering saxophones and SoulMade mouthpieces.
