The Sociedade Brasileira de Anestesiologia (SBA) is a Brazilian professional association dedicated to advancing anesthesiology and supporting the specialists who practice it. It promotes education, professional development, patient safety, and representation of the specialty through services for members, physicians, and the public.

SBA offers training and continuing education through courses, live online classes, webinars, congresses, regional events, and its network of 121 teaching and training centers. Its programs include simulation and certification, specialist examinations such as the Title of Specialist in Anesthesiology (TEA) and the Superior Title in Anesthesiology (TSA), and educational activities for medical students and professionals. The association also provides professional advocacy, legal guidance, occupational health resources, a library, publications, and member benefits.

For patients, SBA shares information about anesthesia, specialist qualifications, and quality and safety in care. It also organizes events, publishes news and educational content, and works with national and international institutions to represent Brazilian anesthesiology. Through these activities, SBA supports professional standards and the continued development of the field.
