SBA (Stichting Bedrijfsfonds Apotheken) is a Dutch training and development fund for the community pharmacy sector, governed by employer and employee organizations. It works to support a future-ready workforce by helping pharmacy employers and staff with human resources, sustainable employability, professional development and the practical application of collective labor agreements.

Through the SBA Academie, the organization offers training and learning opportunities for pharmacy teams, including courses on leadership, management, patient care and workplace conversations. Its Service Desk answers questions about applying pharmacy-sector employment agreements. SBA also provides practical resources, such as a human resources knowledge base for employers and employees, vacancy and recruitment support, labor-market research, procedures and tools including the sector’s risk inventory and evaluation platform.

Alongside these services, SBA shares news and guidance on employment conditions and workplace issues. It promotes pharmacy careers through national campaigns aimed at young people and career changers, helping raise awareness of the work of pharmacy assistants.
